Phineas' Phantistic Phiscuits

Here's a dog biscuit recipe that's sure to wag your mutt's tail!

YOU WILL NEED:
  • 1-3/4 cups hot tap water
  • 8 crushed chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 package active, dry yeast
  • 2 cups wheat germ
  • 1-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • An adult (to help you with the hot stuff)
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Pour the water into a large bowl and add the yeast and bouillon cubes. Let stand for about five minutes.
  3. Add the flours and wheat germ, and mix really well. It might be dry and a bit hard to work with. Don't throw it on the floor and stomp on it! Use your hands to mash it, until it's all mixed together.
  4. Break the great glob of dough into a couple of balls, flatten them out on a floured surface with a rolling pin. Cut out shapes.
  5. Using a spatula, put the shapes onto a cookie sheet and bake in the oven for one hour.
  6. Let them sit in the turned-off oven for about four hours.
